Mothers' Union Prayers
We thank God for the Christian women who inspire us. In particular, we give thanks for the quiet inspiration of so many mothers and carers who have a profound influence in the lives of their children.

March 19th 12.00noon - 2.00pm Lent Lunch of soup and cheese in the Community Centre in aid of the Bishop's Lent Appeal

Lent Groups
Confronting the Cross Led by the Vicar at the Vicarage 9th March, 16th March 11.30am -1.00pm
Lent Course At Sylvia's at 10.30am on Monday 7th March continuing the Archdeacon's Lent Course with the focus on Servant. This will be followed by a soup lunch. All welcome.
Creative Lent Course Explore the gifts God has given you while 'Journeying with Christ' through Lent - led by Lynn New. This reflective and recreational course will suit all who enjoy art, craft, and the written word. Tuesdays 8th March, 15th March 10.00am - 12noon in St Peter's Church Hall. £2.00 a session to cover hall hire refreshments and materials. Please ring Lynn to book a place.

St Peter's Church Gardening
St Peter's Church gardening will take place on the first Wednesday of every month from 9.30am. You are very welcome to join this happy group.

Evening Praise
These services are held at 6.00pm on the third Sunday of every month in St Catherine's Chapel, consisting of hymns, readings and a short address. Everyone is very welcome to attend.

Parish Giving Scheme
It is becoming clear that not many of our regular donors have changed to the new Parish Giving Scheme. Every regular donor has received the pack explaining what this is all about, and we urge you to think seriously about doing so. The form is very easy to fill in and will only take five minutes.

Coffee Morning
Thank you to everyone who helped or supported the coffee morning on 27th February. £188.75 was raised for St Peter's Church funds.

Organ Recital
Thank you to John Cheverton for his organ recital on 2nd March, and to all who helped with the Lent Lunch which followed. The proceeds from this will go to the Bishop's Lent Appeal.

Bishop's Lent Appeal
Details of this can be found at the back of the Churches and donations will be gratefully accepted.
