Parking Outside St Peter's Church
BE AWARE. When parking outside the church please make sure you move within two hours and do not overlap the double yellow lines. There have been instances when several white vans and private vehicles received parking tickets. The single line in front of the gate must be kept free for dropping off, unloading and emergency access.

Leaving us!!
Our Vicar, the Reverend Rob Wynford-Harris and family, will be leaving the parish of St Helen’s with Seaview at the end of August. There will be a collection for a leaving present, and a box will be at the back of the Churches at the main 10.00am services, for donations each Sunday in July, and 6th & 13th August. Donations can also be made to Sue Whitewick, 26 Solent View Road, Seaview. If giving by cheque please make payable to PCC St Helen’s. Thank you in anticipation.
After the Regatta service on 20th August at 12.00 noon which will be Rob's last service at St Peter's there will be a buffet lunch to say farewell to Rob, Anthea & Luke. If you would like to attend please sign the sheet at the back of the churches to give us an idea of how many to cater for. Then on Sunday 27th August, Rob's last service at St Helen's, there will be coffee and cake as we say good bye.

St Peter's Church Fete
Our annual church and community fete will be held on Thursday 10th August at 2.00pm on the Seaview Football field. In order to make this a success we will need lots of helpers; donations of books, bottles, cakes, tombola prizes, toiletries, toys, plants and produce, and White Elephant. Boxes will be left at the back of the Church for donations; or they can be collected if necessary. Pitches are available at £15.00 [or £10.00 for charity]. For more information please contact Sylvia.

Building Work - St Peter's Undercroft Project
The work on the undercroft continues and we are now approaching the final stages of installing kitchen and toilet facilities; flooring and furnishing to make this an attractive and useful place for the whole community. However, we need your help in raising the funds needed. Please think about this and if you are able to give, whatever you can, please contact Robin Hamilton or Sylvia Beardsmore. Should you wish to make a regular donation by Standing Order please contact Bob Somers.

Open Churches
We are proud of the fact that here in Seaview and St Helen's our churches are open every day between 9.00am and 5.00pm giving visitors the opportunity to look round or spend some quiet moments in prayer and reflection. However, in order to sustain this we really need more people on the rota to lock and unlock St Peter's church. We will also need more people during the interregnum at St Helen's. If this is something you think you could do please see Sylvia [St Peter's], Rose or Jim [St Helen's] so that we can draw up a rota.

Extra Services in August
There will be additional services at St Peter's Church on 13th & 27th August at 10.00am. These will be all-age non-Eucharistic services suitable for all the family from 1 -100 years. Everyone is invited and will be very welcome.

THANK YOU
I would like to thank the many folk who have prayed for me and encouraged me in the last 2-3 months and during my radiotherapy. I have not experienced many side effects, but have been able to continue working and getting about. The situation certainly sharpened my faith, led me to read the Bible much more and to pray more fully for others who are ill. Most of all, I thank God for his faithfulness and constant presence. Praise Him!
Marty Coombes
