RNLI Supper
The Seaview Yacht Club will be hosting an evening to which all are welcome on Saturday 18th November 2017 at 7.00pm to mark the 150th Anniversary of the Bembridge Lifeboat Station. The guest speaker is Martin Woodward MBE [Previous Coxswain, Bembridge Lifeboat, Director of Isle of Wight Historic Lifeboat Trust]. The talk starts at 7.00pm and is followed by supper. Tickets are £12.00 each and are available from either Bookworm or the SVYC. There will also be a few "Talk only" tickets £3.00 available from Bookworm for those who do not like being out late at night. The menu is now beef cobbler [in red wine sauce with mushrooms] cabbage and mash. Followed by apple and pear crumble .

Christmas Cards
Time is marching on and with just 2 weeks to Advent we need to be thinking about Christmas. We have now produced a card for distribution to everyone in the two parishes, but will need help in delivering them. They need to be out by 1st December, which is the first event - The lights of Love at St Peter's church. If you would be able to deliver them to your road, please let Sylvia know as soon as possible. Many thanks for your help with this.

Vacancy
You will be reassured to know that the process of finding a new incumbent for the parish of St Helen's, Seaview, Brading & Yaverland is progressing. There are two applicants, and interviews will take place on 21st & 22nd November. Please prayer for the applicants, and all those involved in the selection and interview process.

Traidcraft
Traidcraft Christmas cards and Christmas biscuits will be available after 10.00am services at St Peter's from this Sunday. Catalogues are also available for other purchases. Please contact Sylvia if you are interested.

Village Christmas Decorations
Sylvia is collecting old tennis balls and CDs to recycle as Christmas decorations. Please let her know if you have any you can pass on to her.

Isle of Wight Street Pastors
Street Pastors Sunday is 19th November. There will be a short presentation in St Peter's Church following the 10.00am service. If you are unable to attend & would like to know more of the work of the Street, Prayer & School Pastors please contact Caroline, Vanessa or Dawn, or take a look at the website www.iowstreetpaastors.org.uk.

Mothers' Union
