Mothers' Union Prayers
So then, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God. Hebrews 4:9 (NRSV)
Lord, help us to take the opportunity to rest in you. We pray for those who do not have the opportunity of a Sabbath rest, that they will find space for refreshment.

Brading Diary Dates
18th August From 9.00am St Mary’s Church summer clean - tea & coffee provided, volunteers needed please, no experience necessary!!!!!
20th August Prayer Group in the De Aula Chapel. Regret this one is cancelled. The next one will be on 3rd September.

Pet Service
19th August at 10.00am in St Peter's Church, Seaview. All welcome no matter how many legs. Join us to celebrate family, friends and fellowship. Tea, coffee, water and yummy treats [pert and human] after.

Duver Praise Service
Bembridge Area Christians Together are holding a summer praise service on Sunday 19th August at 3.00pm at the Old Church on the Duver, St Helens. All are welcome to come along, please bring a chair if you are able to.

St Helens Sports & Carnival
Monday 27th August Sports start at 1.15pm. Carnival set up from 5.30pm. Carnival moves off 6.30pm. Volunteers needed, please contact Margraet Cope.

Ride & Stride
This year the date is 8th September. Support your local churches by walking, running, riding your bike or even driving your car between our churches. Start at St Peter's Seaview, on to St Helens, then to Brading and finish at Yaverland. Sponsor forms at the back of the churches. All money raised will be split between Hampshire Historic Churches Trust and our own churches.

RNLI Regatta Day
This year is on Thursday 23rd August at the bottom of the High Street, Seaview. There will be a stall with many new items both fun and practical. Please support if you can.

Brading News
Wednesday 10.00am Communion at St Mary's
There will be no services on Wednesdays for the remainder of August. They will resume on 5th September.

St Mary's Flower Fund
Please continue to give your donations to Mary, as they will continue to support the lovely dislays in church

Teddy Bear Parachute Jump
This will take place at St Mary's Church on Sunday 19th August from 12.00noon until 3.00pm. Proceeds to go to the bell fund.

Paul Roseman Concert
19th August Paul Roseman is an international concert organist and will be giving a concert at Holy Trinity Ventnor at 2.30pm. There will be a cream tea and a chance to meet Paul after the concert.
