Confirmation
If there is anyone who is thinking about being confirmed, classes will begin in the New Year. For those who were confirmed many years ago, this could be an opportunity for a refresher course. Please give your names to Alison [01983 565975] or contact her for further details.

Traidcraft
Sadly this will cease to trade at the end of December 2018. This is due to needing to compete with supermarkets etc who now stock Traidcraft goods. This may cause problems for some of the smaller farmers who will not be able to renew contracts with them or are not big enough to trade with the larger companies. As Traidcraft winds down they are aware of this and are asking for our prayers. HOWEVER For this last season Sylvia will be selling Christmas Cards and biscuits after the 10.00am services at St Peter’s, with coffee in the church hall. There will also be catalogues available if you would like to order anything from that. Any other details available from Sylvia.

St Peter’s Church Cleaners
We are looking for one or two people to help with church cleaning. If this is something you could help with, please have a word with Sylvia.

RNLI
Saturday 17th November 7.00pm. The Old Fort Restaurant, Seaview is hosting an evening in aid of Bembridge Lifeboat. 7.30pm talk by The Ordinary Boys, followed by supper. Booking essential with The Old Fort.

St Peter’s Coffee Morning
Thanks to everyone who supported our October coffee morning in any way. The total raised was £211.40 for which we are very grateful. The next one is Saturday November 24th from 10.00 - 12.00 noon which will have a Christmas theme. We hope to make this our bumper coffee morning of the year. Please come and help us.

Thank You
To the WI, who, with the help of Bob & Angie Somers, have made the entrance to St Peter’s Church look so attractive and inviting for the Remembrance Day Commemoration this week-end. Your gardening, knitting, crocheting and handyman skills are all very much appreciated by the church and the community here in Seaview.
Don’t forget to join us with the school and community partnership at 3.30pm in Sophie Watson Gardens for a short time of remembrance there, for those who died in the First World War 100 years ago.

St Peter’s Church Garden
The end of the year gardening is continuing at St Peter’s and our thanks are due to Rhian and her small team of volunteers. If you could spare an hour this week we will be meeting at 9.30am on Tuesday 13th November. Time is of the essence now if we are to get the garden ready for the winter.

PLEASE NOTE
Coffee will not be served after the Remembrance Sunday services but we are all invited to the Seaview Yacht Club for the lowering and raising of the red ensign, after which coffee will be served, and the bar open.
