Creator God, we remember today your pattern of work and leisure as you rested from your labours on the seventh day of creation. We pray for ourselves and all who seek to maintain a healthy life-work balance, that we will be able to follow your perfect example.

Service for those in need of nourishment
Jesus said “Come to me all of you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” A quiet time of prayers for wholeness and encouragement, in St Catherine’s Chapel, Sunday 19th May at 3.00pm. Come and pray for yourselves and those you love.

Living the Questions
The informal and challenging theology group watching this progressive study course meets on the third Monday of the month in St Peter’s undercroft at 7.00pm. All are very welcome, contact Ali for more details

One-off envelopes
We are very grateful for donations to the church using the one-off envelopes to be found in the pews. BUT they must be filled in with name address post code and the date. Anything less and we cannot use them to claim the tax back.

St Peter’s May Fayre
Thank you to the members of the Mothers’ Union for the refreshments and lunches provided on May 6th which raised £485.50 for Mothers’ Union funds and projects. Thank you to the flower ladies, bakers and everyone who supported the flower festival which raised the fantastic amount of £463.00 for church funds. It was lovely to see the church so busy and beautiful.

St Peter’s Coffee Morning
The next coffee morning will be on 18th May from 10.30am - 12.00noon. Usual stalls of tombola, raffle, books and cakes. Come and join for a relaxed morning in the company of friends.

Textile Bank
The textile bank outside St Peter’s church raised £48.00 in April. Many thanks for all your donations, and please keep them coming.

May Fayre
Thank you to all who supported the St Helen’s stall at Seaview May Fayre. The grand sum of £403.00 was raised for church funds.

St Mary’s Prayer Group
This is open to all and is on the second Monday of the month at 7.00pm in the church hall

Sunday Brunch
After church on the 4th Sunday of the month, there will be a free Sunday Brunch for you to enjoy after the service. Please take this opportunity to mix and mingle.

Cream Tea
A cream tea will be held in the grounds of St Mary’s church hall on Sunday 26th May starting at 3.00pm. Adults £5.00, children under 16 £3.00. All proceeds to the bell restoration fund.

Walking the Wight
Congratulations to Nigel Walters & Leslie Attrill who successfully “Walked the Wight”. Nigel raising £136.50 and Leslie £102.50 for Christian Aid.
