Cashiers for St Peter’s
It would be helpful if one or two more people could help counting the service collections and any other money to be banked. Please have a word with Sylvia. This would be for a month at a time, each 3rd or 4th month.

Art for all Exhibition
Liz Fletcher is hosting an art exhibition in the undercroft at St Peter’s from 26th July to 31st July 10.00am - 4.30pm. There will be tea & coffee and buns. A silent auction of an original painting; competitions for both the young and the not so young and a bonanza selection of greetings cards. 15% of all sales will go to St Peter’s church funds. There will be one table of religious cards of which 100% will go to the church. If anyone could help on this table, please contact Liz.

Benefice Dates

Book Club
5th Aug. 7.00pm in St Peter’s Undercroft. The book for this month to be discussed at this meeting is “Sister Wendy On Prayer” by Sister Wendy Beckett and it looks like just what we need to sooth us after all our activities!!

Sea Sunday 28th July
3.30pm gather at St Helen’s church walk to the Old Church on the Duver [or drive down and meet us there] for a 4.00pm Sea Service on the beach with storytelling, fried fish and bread and sea baptisms with our new Archdeacon Revd Peter Leonard.

St Peter’s Church Garden
Due to the admission to hospital of our gardener there will be no formal gardening sessions for the next 6 weeks. If anyone could give a hand with weeding and watering during that time it would be greatly appreciated.

Brading Events

St Mary’s Prayer Group
This is open to all and is on the second Monday of the month at 7.00pm in the church hall. Next one 12th August

Sunday Brunch
After church on the 4th Sunday of the month, next one on 28th July, there will be a free Sunday Brunch for you to enjoy after the service. Please take this opportunity to mix and mingle.

St Mary’s Church Historical Tour
This will be at 2.00pm on Sunday 28th July and every last Sunday of the month with Fanny Oglander in aid of St Mary’s Friends.

St Mary’s Church Flower Festival
This will be from July 18th to 21st. The theme is “St Francis prayer of the earth”. Thursday 18th July from 2.00pm - 4.00pm, 19th & 20th open from 10.00am until 4.00pm, tea and coffee available for you to enjoy. On Sunday 21st there will be a concert given by Sandown & Shanklin Military Band at 3.00pm. After the concert there will be refreshments in the church hall.
