St Peter’s Harvest Lunch
Will be held in the undercroft on Sunday 6th October at 12.30pm. Admission will be by ticket only and numbers are limited. Tickets available from Beth Dollery at £5.00 each. This will include a soft drink but please feel free to bring your own bottle if you prefer something stronger. There will be no corkage charge!!

Work party for St Peter’s Hall
On 12th October from 10.00am to rub down the walls and fill holes. On 19th October all hands to paint the walls. Please bring brushes and paint trays. Please do come and help with this. We will need lots of support and tea makers essential. Please contact Ali or Sylvia for more details.

Memorial Gardens
From the Lichgate to the entrance to St Helen’s Church, there are two small flower beds, one on either side of the path, which the PCC would like to make into memorial gardens, by planting rose bushes in memory of loved ones. If you would like to contribute please speak to Sue [churchyard manager] or phone her on 01983 568761 for more details.
It is hoped the project will start in the Autumn.

Seaview & St Helen’s Electoral Roll
It is time for the Electoral Rolls to be completely renewed. Forms for this are at the back of both churches and a box for the completed ones.

Colin Atkins
Colin’s funeral is on Monday 7th October at Bury-St-Edmunds. Michael Taylor will be going and has spare seats in his car if you would like a lift. He is leaving on the 6.00am ferry. The family have asked for donations in memory of Colin to go to St Helen’s Church Appeal. Any donations can be given to Rose or Sue.

Affordable Art Fair
Thursday 18th-21st Oct. in Battersea. Liz Fletcher has spare free tickets. Details can be obtained from Liz.

Organist Pilgrimage
Peter Gould, ex-organist of Derby Cathedral is giving a short recital in every church in the Portsmouth Diocese. Monday 14th October he will be at St Peter’s from 3.00pm - 3.15pm and St Helen’s from 3.30pm - 3.45pm.

St Peter’s Coffee Morning
Thank you to everyone who supported this event in any way. £117.31 was raised for church funds.

The benefice book club will meet on Monday 7th October at 7.00pm in the undercroft at St Peter’s Seaview.

Brading Diary
6th Oct St Mary’s Harvest Festival followed by harvest brunch. All welcome.
14th Oct 7.00pm Prayer Group St Mary’s Church Hall

Brading Events

St Mary’s Prayer Group
This is open to all and is on the second Monday of the month at 7.00pm in the church hall. Next one 14th October.

St Mary’s Harvest Festival
Following the Harvest Service on 6th October there will be a brunch for all to enjoy, but it will be in the church, not the hall.
