Worldwide Anglican Church:
Pray for Archbishop Justin Welby and for mission agencies and their ministry throughout the Anglican Communion, including the Mothers’ Union around the world.
This Diocese:  Pray for Bishop Christopher; Archdeacon Peter; Area Dean Amanda; our benefice Vicars Alison & Barry; the parishes of Freshwater & Yarmouth
World:  We pray for everyone in the world suffering, in whatever way, from the pandemic
Island:  For all business owners and staff under threat, and for the many now seeking employment
Sick:  David
Recently Died:  Sheila Holmes

We pray for all who suffer as a result of natural disasters, acts of terrorism, violence or armed conflict; for our armed forces and their families, and all who work in the emergency services.

Thought for the Week
Mary was chosen by God to be the mother of Jesus our Saviour. God’s great sign of love is that he is carried through a human pregnancy and born into a human family which is descended from David. In this way the prophecies are fulfilled and God’s glory revealed to the whole world.

NB St Helen’s church is now closed for refurbishment for the foreseeable future. The services usually held there on the 2nd & 4th Sunday’s of the month will now be held at St Peter’s, Seaview. We extend a warm welcome to our usual worshippers and hope to see you there. All plate money at these services will go to St Helen’s Church funds.

The services previously advertised as being on Christmas Eve at 3.00pm outside St Mary's and at 4.00pm outside St Peter's have now been cancelled, as has the service on Sunday 27th December at 8.30am at St Peter’s.

Thank You
Rosemary Wood and her family would like to send their sincere thanks for the many messages of sympathy & cards which they received on the passing of Chris.

A very happy Christmas and every blessing for
A better 2021
to you all
