Thought for the Week
Mystery and Wonder

Eternal God, fill our hearts with wonder as we contemplate afresh the glorious mystery of Christ’s coming to earth to bring us salvation; the fulfilment of your prophetic words, uttered down the ages.

Friends of St Helen's
This is now up and running. A bank account is now open and donations to this fund are very welcome. All money received will be put to the fabric and restoration of St Helen’s Church.

Fabric & Restoration at St Helen’s Church
There are still urgent repairs to be done following on from the recent quinquennial review, and after the recent refurbishment there is very little money left in reserve. Any donations would be gratefully received. It may seem that we are always asking for money, unfortunately that is right, but we need to preserve this wonderful building for ourselves and for future generations.

~~~~~
Coffee at St Peter’s
It was requested that when there is an 11.00am service at St Peter’s, coffee would be available from 10.00am. This has been tried but people have voted with their feet. This last Sunday only l person arrived at l0.00am, and 8 at 11.00am. In view of this will revert to coffee AFTER service. However it is not fair to leave this to the same people to organise each time. There will now be a rota and any one wishing to help should contact Sylvia 612600.
Similarly the monthly readers rota will be in place once more. If you would like to read, or to do the intercessions please let Sylvia know.
Seaview Food Bank
Non-perishable foods may be left at The Orange Tree, Madeira Road, or Penmorfa, on the corner of Bluett Avenue and Saltems. There is also a basket at the back of St Peter’s Church. If you are able please give generously during this Christmas season remembering those who may go hungry and cold.
