Friends of St Helen's
This is now up and running. A bank account is now open and donations to this fund are very welcome. All money received will be put to the fabric and restoration of St Helen’s Church.

St John's
The historic and peaceful church of St John the Baptist, Yaverland is open all weekend.

Flowers at St Helen's
We would like to hear from anyone who would like to join our little band of St. Helen's Church Flower arrangers, no experience needed, just a love of flowers. The cost of flowers can be reimbursed if needed. Please contact Margaret on 01983 874466 .

Duties of a Church Warden
St. Helen's church at present doesn't have a church warden. The PCC will be gathering after the 9.30am service at St Helen's to find ways that the numerous jobs that this one person has to undertake can be spread amongst them.
Don't be shy - if you would like to stay for this meetng, you would he very weicome! Pick up one job (or maybe two) and help to spread the load.
Some of the jobs include:
Preparing the church for Sunday service and tidying up afterwards. First in, last out!
Keeping an eye on the building.
Liaising with builders.
Completing faculty forms.
Looking out for general maintenance.
Ensuring the paperwork is complete.
Electrical inspections, fire inspections, PAT testing, and health & safely.
Heading up fundraising.
Co-ordinating the cleaning.

If we all do a bit, we won't notice the load.
