What's On

Bell Ringing for the Jubilee

The bell-ringers at St. Mary’s Brading will not be having their usual practice on Thursday 2nd June but will instead be ringing from 19.52 until 20.22 to mark Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee, then on Friday 3rd June, we will be attempting a quarter peal to also mark the Jubilee.

On Sunday 5th June the bell-ringers will have their portable bell tower at the Brading celebrations afternoon held at Brading football club.

Meet the Author Evening Friday 10th June

Meet Elizabeth Manning in St Mary's church hall from 6:00pm for a talk about her recently published book “A stroll through Brading's tranquil churchyard" followed by a guided walk around the churchyard

Bottles Urgently Needed!

St Helen's Bottle Tombola is in need of bottles for the church stall at the St Helens Jubilee Celebrations on June 5th.

Walking Church

A chance to worship in ‘God’s Cathedral’ by the sea.
Sunday June 5th
Starting promptly at 10 am from St. Helen’s Church
.
A four mile stroll to the Old Church on St. Helens Duver, and along the coast to Priory Bay, into Seaview to catch the celebrations for the Jubilee and then a quiet walk back to the church, arriving back at 12.30 pm.

Jubilee Street Party

Following the Jubilee celebration service on Sunday 5th June there will be a street party in Seaview village starting at 12 noon. If you know anyone who will be alone Sylvia has space on her table please give her a call on (01983) 612600 .

St Peter’s Coffee Morning

A heart felt thank you to everyone who supported the coffee morning at St Peter’s which raised £81.65.

Brading Bell-Ringers

would like to thank everyone who booked a Cream Tea last Sunday.
We raised £276.70 towards the bell restoration and augmentation project.
Thank you all very much.
