Together in Prayer meets on Zoom each Thursday from 6.30pm for half an hour. See Rev Bevaly for details.

On Sunday 16th June Nunwell House are holding a Garden open Day from 2.00pm - 5.00pm. Adults £5 under 16 free. Refreshments will be available, along with a Raffle, Mobile Bell Tower and much more. All proceeds for Brading Bells Restoration Appeal. Sorry no dogs.

The churches in the East Wight will be hosting a hustings event in connection with the forthcoming General Election on Monday 17th June at 7.00pm in St Mary's Church, Brading. Do come along and hear from - and question - your candidates. Please click here for further information.

Summer Solstice Celebration: Thursday 20th June. An informal gathering with readings and prayers to mark the longest day of the year. Meet in St Helen’s church for refreshments at 8.30pm. Revds Corinne Smith and Rosie Deedes will lead solstice reflections in church and we will walk the candlelit labyrinth at nightfall. All welcome.

St Mary’s Brading are holding a fun Quiz Night on Friday 21st June from 7.00pm in the Hall. £5 per person including refreshments, plus a raffle with lots of prizes! Please let Nigel know if you are hoping to come along.

On Saturday June 22nd there is a Tea Party in St Mary’s church hall, Brading organised by Jane from The Methodist Church, starting at 2.00pm. All are welcome.

Sunday 23rd June from 3.00-6.00pm a Midsummer afternoon tea in St Peter’s church garden serving cream and savoury teas, homemade cakes, strawberries and cream, and Prosecco. Reasonable prices towards church fabric fund. Come and enjoy.

On Sunday 30th June. we are holding a Benefice service to celebrate The Patronal Festival at St Peter’s in Seaview at 10.00am followed by a Bring-your-own Picnic lunch in the church garden. Please do come along. See your church warden to arrange a lift. Teas and coffees will be supplied.

On Saturday July 6th there is an open Cafe in St Mary’s Church Hall, starting at 10.30am. There will be the usual stalls and the Brading Community Choir will be singing so come along for coffee and a chat, cake and a sing-a-long.

We would welcome anyone who feels they would like to read the lesson or perhaps lead the intercessions on a rota basis at St Helen’s Church. Please contact Sue Whitewick, details above.

Many thanks to all who gave to the Christian Aid walk. People from Christ Church, Sandown, Brading Methodist church, and St Paul’s Shanklin joined Pat and Lesley from St Mary’s and £551 was raised for Christian Aid.

Nigel would like to thank everyone who sponsored him on Walk the Wight. £225 was raised for Mountbatten.

A BIG thank you from Rose to everyone who contributed bottles for the Bottle Tombola at St Helens Village Fair. £284 was raised for the Kids Shed Appeal.
