Together in Prayer meets on Zoom each Thursday from 6.30pm for half an hour. See Rev Bevaly for details.

On Saturday July 6th there is an open Cafe in St Mary’s Church Hall, starting at 10.30am. There will be the usual stalls (puzzles, bric-a-brac, preserves, cakes) and the Brading Community Choir will be singing so come along for coffee and a chat, cake and a sing-a-long.

You are very welcome to a short Service of the Word on Sunday 7th July in St Catherine's Chapel, St Helens Community Centre - 6.00-6.45 pm, followed by refreshments. This will be led by Andrew.

On Saturday July 13th there is a Jumble sale in St Mary’s Church Hall, Brading. Doors open at 2.00pm, and the jumble will be accepted from 11:00am. There will also be tea / coffee and cakes. Helpers welcome. Do come and support us and grab an ethical bargain!

Come and sing some favourite hymns with us in Seaview for Music Sunday, 11.15am on Sunday 14th July, an initiative of the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM). 50% of the collection will be donated to charity RSCM towards the continuation of church music.

Rev Vickie, Rev Tom Burden and Rev James Cook will be commissioned by the Bishop as Assistant Area Deans on Wednesday 24th July at 6.00pm in Newport Minister, all are welcome to the service to support them.

Join us for an Afternoon Cream Tea in St Mary’s Church Hall from 2.00pm on Sunday 28th July. Fresh Scones, cream and jam will be on offer along with Farmer Ralph and other stalls and entertainments. Any donations of [full] bottles for the tombola would be most welcome – please give to Nigel or Rev Bevaly.

The July issue of our parish magazine, 'What's On', is now available from the back of the church, price 60p. If you live in the benefice you can have each copy delivered to your door for just £6.00 p.a. - contact Paul on 01983 872326 to take out a subscription.

A note from Margaret: Thank you all very much for the wonderful flowers that you sent me, they are beautiful. I’m still very sore but I’m moving around a bit more each day. Hopefully I’ll soon start to feel like my old self.

Many thanks to everyone who came to the Benefice service for the Patronal Festival at St Peter’s and stayed for the Picnic lunch. It was lovely to be together and the Red Arrows put on a great display above us!

Early warning! The Seaview church and community fete is on Saturday 10th August on the Seaview football field. The Mothers’ Union will be running its tombola stall and needs bottles and other suitable prizes. Good quality bric-a-brac is also wanted for the very popular white elephant stall. Items can be left in the church porch.

Date for your diary: Rev Bevaly will be ordained as a Priest (rather than a Deacon) on Saturday 28th Sept in Portsmouth Cathedral at 11.00am. Your support would be most welcome.
