A very warm welcome and thanks to Rev Canon Hugh Wright who is leading our services and preaching at St Helen’s and St John’s on Sunday 14th July

Together in Prayer meets on Zoom each Thursday from 6.30pm for half an hour. See Rev Bevaly for details or prayer requests.

On Saturday July 13th there is a Jumble sale in St Mary’s Church Hall, Brading. Doors open at 2.00pm, and the jumble will be accepted from 11:00am. There will also be tea / coffee and cakes. Helpers welcome. Do come and support us and grab an ethical bargain!

Come and sing some favourite hymns with us in Seaview at 11.15am on Sunday 14th July for Music Sunday, an initiative of the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM). 50% of the collection will be donated to charity RSCM towards the continuation of church music.

Please pray for Revs Vickie, Tom Burden and James Cook as they are commissioned by the Bishop as Assistant Area Deans on Wednesday 24th July in Newport Minister. Please note only clergy are now invited.

Brading Bells Teddy Bear Parachute Jump and Zip Wire: Saturday 27th July 2.00-4.00pm, Brading Belltower. £2 each or £3 for both. Prizes for the fasted and slowest bears. Certificates for all (soft non-bears welcome). All must be accompanied by an adult. Light Refreshments available.

Join us for an Afternoon Cream (or Savoury) Tea in St Mary’s Church Hall from 2.00pm on Sunday 28th July. Fresh Scones will be on offer along with Farmer Ralph, Brading Community Choir and other stalls and games. Donations of [full] bottles or Raffle Prizes most welcome. Prizes for the best hats!

The July issue of our parish magazine, 'What's On', is now available from the back of the church, price 60p.

The Seaview church and community fete is on Saturday 10th August on the Seaview football field. The Mothers’ Union will be running its tombola stall and needs bottles and other suitable prizes. Good quality bric-a-brac is also wanted for the very popular white elephant stall. Items can be left in the church porch.

Last week’s Coffee Morning in St Mary's Church Hall, Brading raised £224 for church funds.

Date for your diary: Rev Bevaly will be ordained as a Priest (rather than a Deacon) on Saturday 28th Sept in Portsmouth Cathedral at 11.00am. All are welcome.

At the St Peter’s PCC meeting last Monday it was decided to return to taking a collection in Sunday services during the gradual hymn. The sides people will come round with collection bags. We trust you will also have seen our yellow gift aid envelopes and the card reader at the back on the Welcome Table giving options for regular giving for which we are grateful and depend upon.

Congratulations and Thankyou to our wonderful Church Wardens who were all sworn in to their office this week by Archdeacon Steve at Newport Minster. This is an important voluntary position, especially during a vacancy, with responsibility for the church buildings, contents, grounds and services and we do appreciate all that you do.
