Together in Prayer meets on Zoom each Thursday from 6.30pm for half an hour. See Rev Bevaly for details to join or prayer requests.

Worship at St Catherine’s chapel is taking a break over the summer but we look forward to welcoming you all back in September.

The Seaview church and community fete is on Saturday 10th August on the Seaview football field.

The Family Service at St Peter’s at 11.15am on Sunday 11th August is based on ‘lessons from the Olympics’. Do come and join us.

Come and help us make a scarecrow for the Brading Town Scarecrow competition on Monday 12th August at 1.00pm in St Mary’s church, Brading. Families welcome. Donations of newspaper or straw to stuff him also appreciated.

The annual Regatta service at St Peter’s takes place on Sunday 18th August at 10.00am, along with the Events choir, the service will be led by Revd’s David Low and Vicki Morgan. All are welcome.

On Sunday August 25th St Peter’s are having their popular Songs of Praise Service at 11.15am. Join us for a sing-a-long style worship.

A Late Summer Concert by Abbey Brass featuring music from the movies, musicals, pop and classics will be held at St Mary’s Church, Brading, on Saturday September 7th at 7.30pm. Entry is free with a retiring collection to be split between the church and the band.

A reminder that the paintings, drawings and photographs of Yaverland Manor will be displayed in St John’s church on 14th - 15th September and will judged by the PCC and Manor owners. The winning picture will be given to Yaverland Manor and all other entries sold to raise funds for the disabled toilet and access ramp.

Are you feeling called to be a Lay Worship Leader or Lay Preacher? Six session courses are running on the Island on Saturday’s during Sept - Nov led by Anthony Rustell, Leisa Potter and Peter Byatt. Please contact Rev Bevaly ASAP for further details and to enrol.

Copies of the August issue of our parish magazine, 'What's On', are available from the back of church, price 60p. If you don't already subscribe, do take a copy - and do also think about taking out a subscription. For just £6.00 your copy will be delivered to your door each month.

Incumbent: You will all be delighted to know that Rev Karen Wilson has been appointed as our new incumbent (subject to DBS) and we are hoping that she will be licensed on Tuesday 12th November at 6.00pm in St Mary’s church, Brading. She is currently working as interim priest-in-charge of the Waterside churches in Cornwall, but used to live on the island. You can read more about her here.
