Would you like to regularly pray for the world, the church and each other? Together in Prayer meets on Zoom each Thursday from 6.30pm for half an hour. See Rev Bevaly for details to join or prayer requests.

St Helen's Church Harvest service is at 9.30am on 22nd September. Gifts of in-date tins or packeted goods will be gratefully received for the foodbank.

Eco Church will meet next week at 3.30pm, in St Helens Church, for one hour only, for prayer, refreshments and to discuss future plans. This will enable those who wish to attend the Evensong service at St John's. If you have access to the Church Times do look out for Helen Bradstock who was featured last week (6th September) talking about the Community Fridge project, part of Eco church. (Or click here to go online to where Helen is featured in the article entitled Healing touch of green champions).

Coma along for a beautiful service of Sung Evensong at St John’s Yaverland on Sunday 22nd September at 5.30pm (NB new time), led by Rev Barry Downer along with Andrew Cooper and a full choir.

Sunday 29th September will be a Benefice Service (all four churches meeting together) at St Mary’s Brading at 10.00am. This will be the first service at which Bevaly will preside following her ordination as Priest the previous day. Please do come along to support her and to worship together and stay for Tea / Coffee and cake in the hall afterwards.

St Peter’s are holding their harvest lunch on 6th October at 12.30pm for 1.00pm. Admission £10, please book in advance with Suki Turner on 07940 503971. This is a very popular event so first come first served.

The Harvest celebration at St Mary’s will be on Sunday 6th October at 9.30am. Please bring donations of long life tins / packets to donate to the Foodbank.

St Peter’s are holding a Harvest Praise Service on Wednesday 16th October at 10.30am. Come and sing-a-long, share your favourite Harvest or Autumn Poem plus have fun making an easy Harvest Craft. All are welcome. (This is a Dementia Friendly Service.)

St Peter’s are collecting stationery for Rita to take to needy children in her home village Gbatala in Liberia. Leave donations (pens, pencils, rulers, rubbers, notebooks, sharpeners, paper etc) in the box in the church porch. Collection ends on 30th September.

Please pray for: - Alex as he is baptised at St Peter’s this morning (Sunday 15th September).
- those schools that have been told they are part of the council consultations to reduce school numbers, especially for our own Brading C E Primary School.
- Rev Karen Wilson appointed as our new Priest in Charge . She will be licensed on Tuesday 12th November at 6.00pm in St Mary’s church, Brading. You can read more about her here.

Andrew Bradstock recently took part in a BBC Radio programme commemorating the 350th anniversary of the birth of Isaac Watts, whose hymns we still often sing. If you'd like to listen, search for 'BBC Wales Isaac Watts'.
