Our Advent Study ontinues on Tuesdays 10th and 17th December from 2.30pm – 4.00pm in St Mary’s Church Hall. We are considering the waiting of Advent using ‘The Meaning Is In The Waiting’ by theologian, Anglican lay reader and Canon Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral, Paula Gooder. All are welcome.

St Peter’s are holding their Light up a Life service for Mountbatten in the garden of St Peter’s church on Friday 6th December at 6pm. Wrap up warm and come to remember lost loved ones this Christmas.

Original Christmas cards by Liz Fletcher are available in St Peter's church. Very reasonably priced - sold alone or in packs.

St Mary’s, Brading are holding their Christmas Tree Festival on 6th- 8th December in the church. The Festival includes a Christmas Concert featuring the Wight Ukers, Scottish Fiddlers and Brading Community Choir with mulled wine and mince pies on Friday 6th at 7.00pm in the church; a Craft Sale in the church and Coffee Morning in the hall with music from Mike, Farmer Ralph and lots of Christmas bargains on Saturday 7th from 10.00am; and the Light Up a Life Service to remember loved ones in aid of Mountbatten Hospice at 3.00pm on Sunday 8th followed by the Community Nativity from the church hall around Brading to the Methodist Church to find the manger and enjoy refreshments. Please come and join the fun and celebrations.

Clare from Carisbrooke Flowers invites you to a Christmas Fresh flower/foliage Workshop on Monday 16th December from 2.00-4.00pm in St Peter’s Undercroft, Seaview. £20 per person. Bring your own decorations and foliage to accompany the greenery and materials provided. To book email Sally – sally(dot)rivlin(at)gmail(dot)com. Profits to St Peter’s building fund.

St Helen's will be holding their annual 'Carols by Candlelight' service on Wednesday evening, 18th December, at 6.00pm. You will be very welcome - but come early, as last year the church was packed. And do bring a torch!

The new issue of our parish magazine, 'What's On', is available from the back of the church, price 60p. It's a double issue this time, covering December and January, so especially good value! If you regularly read it, but don't have a subscription, why not take one out for the new year? For just £6 pa you can have all 11 issues delivered to your door.
