The Haven Churches Epiphany Crown Competition: Well done to everyone wearing a crown today to celebrate the visit of the Three Kings to the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. There will be a prize for the winners of the best regal headwear in each of the categories - Under 16s, 16 and Over.

Burns Lunch. Sunday 26th January, 12.30pm St Peter’s Church Hall. Tickets £15 email Suki(dot)turner(at)icloud(dot)com. Dr Cooney will pipe in the Haggis (please let us know if you require Vegetarian Haggis). Proceeds to church funds.

The Brading Bellringers would like to thank everyone who has supported the Bell Restoration Appeal over the past year. We are now gearing up for a new year of fund- raising and this starts with our 8 Bell Club, if you would like to renew your membership or join for the first time please contact Margaret at Brading or Yaverland after the services or email Marghanita at bradingbells(at)hotmail(dot)com. It cost's just £12 per ticket for 12 months and each month your number(s) get entered into the draw where you could win either £15, £10 or £5, all the profits are for the Bell Restoration Appeal.

The Vectis Brass Band are in concert at St Mary’s Brading on Friday 25th January from 7.30pm. There will be a raffle and retiring collection split between the band and the Church.

The first Jumble Sale of 2025 in St Mary’s Church hall is on Saturday 22nd February (NB New Date). Doors open 2.00pm. Jumble can be left from 11.00am

A big thank you to all those who decorated the churches for Christmas and volunteered at the services. We had lots of first time or non-regular visitors and it was all so appreciated.

Rita's Liberian water pump project has been completed A new pump was installed by villagers, blessed by elders and is now in use. Many thanks to the Seaview community who raised the funds to do this and sent over a barrel of stationery for the children.

Father God,
the star that led the Magi to the stable
announced to the world
that its Saviour was born.
Today we live in a world
that is still covered by darkness,
and still needing to make that journey
to the stable door.
May our lives reflect your light day by day,
as we seek to serve where you have placed us.
That we might be the means
through which others
can encounter Jesus Christ.
