A group of volunteers is coming together to help manage St Helen’s Churchyard – which also serves the villages of Seaview and Nettlestone. They will meet every Thursday morning to undertake raking and other general tasks, and it would be great if we could have someone there at each session to welcome them and organise the half-time refreshments in the church. If you would like to be on a rota for this please contact Andrew – andrewbradstock(at)gmail(dot)com / 07503 200630.

Do you have problems with technology? If so, take your phone, i-pad, laptop or tablet to the 'Digi Drop-in' session at St Helens Community Centre on Wednesday 12th November from 10.00am - 12.00noon for some expert advice and help. It's all free (donations welcome), plus refreshments are provided.

The next Jumble Sale at St Mary’s Church Hall is on Saturday 15th November from 2.00pm. Jumble can be dropped off from 11.00am. There will be refreshments and a raffle. Any help on the day would be appreciated – please let Nigel or Lynne know.

Brading Bell Ringers Quiz Night: 6:30pm on Saturday 15th November in St Mary’s Church Hall. £5 per person, tea / coffee and a raffle.

The November issue of our parish magazine, 'What's On', is now available, price 60p. You will find copies at the back of the church.

The St Peter’s church Live Nativity is still seeking budding thespians (and a donkey!) to appear as characters from the nativity story on 20th December at 4.00pm. No lines to learn, lots of fun. Please see Revd Karen if you would like to take part.

Advent Reflections: Responding to God's Love… This year we will be using a “homegrown” booklet, offering reflections around some of the key themes running through the Advent Season - Promise, Hope, Call and Fulfilment. The booklets, which include an Advent Calendar of daily readings, will be available from Church (at a cost of £1 each) for use at home, with an opportunity to share in times of reflection with others through four group sessions, which will be held in St Mary's Church Hall, Brading, at 6.00pm, on Wednesday evenings 26th November, 3rd December, 10th December and Friday 19th December.
