A very special welcome to St Peter’s today to Bishop Jonathan Frost, who will lead and preach and share lunch with us after the service.

St Helen’s and St Peter’s Churches are looking to form New Social Events and Fundraising Teams to work alongside the PCC. Also The Friends of St Helen’s Church are seeking a new Trustee to join them. The Trustees raise funds for St Helen’s Church, focusing on raising funds for capital works, such as the roof repairs. Please let Revd Karen know if you are interested.

The PCC of St John’s church in Yaverland is seeking new members of the PCC, including a Secretary and Treasurer. Please contact Revd Karen or Kev Norton for more information

The last Lent Lunch at St Peter’s church will be held on Wednesday 25th March, 12.00noon - 2.00pm in the Church hall. Homemade soup with rolls, cheese and biscuits, Tea/Coffee all served from noon. Everyone is welcome. NB There will be no ‘Prayer Circle’ whilst the Lent Lunches are going on.

Palm Sunday in Brading: We will begin our service at 10.00am (noting that the clocks have sprung forward one hour!) outside Brading Methodist church. We will walk (following Gary the donkey) up the High Street to St Mary’s waving our Palms and singing as we go. We will then be joined by those unable (or unwilling) to walk that far who will be seated and waiting at St Mary’s where a joint Eucharist will take place. Rev Bevaly is still looking for someone to collect a lady from Lower Furlongs in a car, and if you can donate some large palm like leaves to wave that would be great.

There are Stations of the Cross set up in St Mary’s church Brading. Each station is an invitation for a personal encounter with Jesus, as you journey with him to the cross. This is your encounter so do it your way. The church is open during the day.

There is a Free Family Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Saturday at Beechgrove Play Park off the Mall, Brading starting at 3.00pm. Come as a family to join the hunt. Refreshments, Easter Film and Chocolate Eggs to be awarded afterwards at Brading Methodist Church.

Please sign up on the form at the back of church if you would like to Join us for Easter breakfast at 8.00am in St Mary’s church hall on Easter morning before the Easter service, so that we have numbers for catering.

APCMs: It is nearly time for our Annual Meetings where we elect Church Wardens, PCC members and Deanery Synod reps. Please do consider whether you are being called to serve in any of these really important positions. There will be nomination forms in each of the churches soon. Dates to follow.

Revision of Electoral Rolls: If you would like to be added to the electoral roll for your church so that you can vote in the upcoming APCM elections please do see your Electoral Roll Officer as soon as possible (the Church wardens and PCC members will know who these are).
