Volunteers ’Thank You’ coffee morning in St Mary’s church hall, Brading. Saturday 25th April from 10am until noon. Coffee morning hosted by Revd Karen to thank all of our benefice church officers and volunteers who made Holy Week and Easter such a special season.

St John’s APCM follows the service this morning (26th April). The PCC are seeking new members, including a Secretary and Treasurer. Do stay to find out what the church has been doing over the past year and to hear plans for the coming year.

Today (26th April) is Vocations Sunday in the Church of England (AKA Good Shepherd Sunday). It is a dedicated time to pray for and to explore God’s calling, including ordained ministry, lay ministry and volunteering in our churches across the benefice, including membership of our PCC’s and standing for Office as Church Warden etc. Please do consider whether God is calling you to a ministry of any kind within our benefice and speak to me if you feel the nudges of God upon your life in any way. It is always a joy to encourage others to explore their vocations and to enable them to flourish. Revd Karen.

Haven Fellowship: Our next monthly Bible and Prayer meeting is at St Catherine’s chapel, St Helen’s on Wednesday May 20th, from 6.30 - 8.00pm: Then on Wednesday June 17th and July 15th. Join us for a light Agape supper of bread and cheese, and then explore God’s Word. Please let Caroline know if you are coming by text on 07533 083401 for catering purposes.

St Helen’s and St Peter’s Churches are looking to for New Social Events and Fundraising Teams to work alongside the PCC. Also, The Friends of St Helen’s Church are seeking a new Trustee to join them. Please let Revd Karen know if you are interested.

The next Two Coffee Morning and Plant Sales at St Mary’s are on Saturdays 2nd and 9th May. Do come along for Tea / Coffee, Cakes, Preserves, Stalls, Raffle, Farmer Ralph and lots of bargain Plants.

Vectis Brass are in concert at St Mary’s on Thursday 14th May starting at 7.30pm in aid of Brading Bells.

Assembly Bangers’ Singalong. 16th May at 3.00pm in St Helen’s Church. There will be voting slips in each church. Please vote for your favourite school assembly ‘bangers’ that you love and come along on 16th to reminisce and sing your favourite school hymn/song. Afterwards we will serve Cream Teas at £5.00 a head with tea or coffee. Further details available soon.
