The InfoPoint interactive tour is available in St Mary’s Church, Brading every day during daylight hours. Come and learn about the church, its history and its people through your (or a friend’s) smart phone. Many thanks to those who came and supported it’s launch. Watch this space for details of expansion!
You can view the Yaverland Manor art exhibition at St John’s Church, Yaverland on the 19th and 20th October. The winning entry will be displayed at the Manor and all other entries will be sold to raise funds for the disabled toilet and access ramp.
Our All Souls service, when we remember our loved ones departed, will be on 3rd November at 6.00pm in St Peter's Church, Seaview. There will be clip boards in St Peter's, St Helen's and St Catherine's Chapel from 19th October - 2nd November for you to add the names of any one you would like remembered at this service. You will be very welcome to attend this service.
Brading Bellringers are holding a Beetle Drive in aid of the Bell Restoration Appeal on 2nd November starting at 6:30pm in Brading church hall. £2 per person (under 16s free). There will also be a raffle and refreshments All welcome, very Family Friendly!
For those who cannot access online data there is a petition at the back of St Mary’s Church to sign to keep the local Primary School open. This will be sent to the council along with those from the Methodist church, local Shop, and Community Café.
The Surplus Food Project will be at the Brading Youth & Community Centre every Monday between 1.15 and 1.45pm. Food surplus from supermarkets but still good to eat can be had for a donation. Spread the word!

Rev Karen Wilson our new Priest in Charge will be licensed on Tuesday 12th November at 6.00pm in St Mary’s church, Brading (followed by refreshments in the Hall). Please pray for her and her husband Chris. You can read more about her here. Before the service we are in need of volunteers to help clean the church on Saturday 9th November from 9.30am -12.30pm (just turn up and bring a duster!) and also people to help set up the hall and the buffet from 4.30pm on 12th (before the service). Please give your names to your church warden to pass to St Mary’s social committee (via Nigel) if you can help. Thank you.
Safeguarding Training. Julia Barton is coming from the Portsmouth Diocese Safeguarding team to do face to face training in St Mary’s Church hall on Tuesday 19th November. Sessions will run: 9.30am – 10.00am Registration and coffee, 10.00am - 11.30am Basic Awareness, 11.30am -12.00noon Coffee, 12.00noon - 1.30pm Foundations, 1.30pm – 2.00pm Bring your own lunch, 2.00pm - 3.30pm Domestic Abuse. If you help with anything at all in the church please check with Sylvia or Rev Bevaly for which course(s) you need to attend and sign up at the back of church.
