Brading Bellringers are holding a Beetle Drive in aid of the Bell Restoration Appeal on 2nd November starting at 6:30pm in Brading church hall. £2 per person (under 16s free). There will also be a raffle and refreshments. All welcome, very Family Friendly!

Our All Souls service, remembering our departed loved ones, will be on 3rd November at 6.00pm in St Peter's Church, Seaview. There are clip boards in St Peter's, St Helen's and St Catherine's Chapel until 2nd November for you to add the names of any one you would like remembered at this service and all are very welcome to attend this service.

Do please join us for our Remembrance Services next week (and note the different from usual times for services) as we remember our fallen and those still involved in times of war.

St Peter’s WI has a Christmas sale in the church hall in Seaview jointly with Men in Sheds on 9th November 10.00am - 12 noon. Plenty of unique Christmas gifts to browse.

There is a fundraising coffee morning with a jewellery gift stall in St Peter’s Church hall, Seaview on 16th November for St Peter's building fund from 10,00am -12noon. All most welcome.

St John’s Church, Yaverland are hosting a Christmas Craft Fayre on 16th -17th November in the church. There will be displays of artwork and original prints by gifted artist Paul Hewson which would make ideal Christmas cards and post cards.

Rev Karen Wilson our new Priest in Charge will be licensed on Tuesday 12th November at 6.00pm in St Mary’s church, Brading (followed by refreshments in the Hall). Please pray for her and her husband Chris. You can read more about her here. Before the service we are in need of volunteers to help clean the church on Saturday 9th November from 9.30am -12.30pm (just turn up and bring a duster!) Please note that the church will be closed for the day (12th November) for setting up and preparation.

Julia Barton is coming from the Portsmouth Diocese Safeguarding team to do face to face Safeguarding Training in St Mary’s Church hall on Tuesday 19th November. Sessions will run: 9.30am – 10.00am Registration and coffee, 10.00am - 11.30am Basic Awareness, 11.30am -12.00noon Coffee, 12.00noon - 1.30pm Foundations, 1.30pm – 2.00pm Bring your own lunch, 2.00pm - 3.30pm Domestic Abuse. If you help with anything at all in the church please check with Sylvia or Rev Bevaly for which course(s) you need to attend and sign up at the back of church ASAP.

The Infopoint interactive tour of St Mary’s Brading is open every day during daylight hours.

Original Christmas cards by Liz Fletcher are available in St Peter's church. Very reasonably priced - sold in packs or individually.

If you are interested in joining an Advent Study course please let Rev Bev know as she is looking into books or studies so numbers would be helpful. (Also preferred times / days.)

Brading Church fundraising group are looking for items to create two luxury hampers for Christmas raffles. Please see Nigel, Rev Bev or Catherine if you have any suitable donations.

Rev Vickie Morgan is taking part in ZipFire for Mountbatten at the annual fireworks on 9th November if anyone would like to sponsor her.
