St Peter’s WI has a Christmas sale in the church hall in Seaview jointly with Men in Sheds on 9th November 10.00am - 12 noon.

Welcome if you have joined us for our Remembrance Day Services as we remember our fallen and pray for those still involved in war. Thank you to any volunteers taking part, especially playing the bugle or reading names of the fallen. Do stay for refreshments and a chat after each service.

There is a fundraising coffee morning with a jewellery gift stall in the Undercroft, St Peter’s, Seaview on 16th November for St Peter's building fund from 10,00am -12noon. All most welcome.

St John’s Church, Yaverland are hosting a Christmas Craft Fayre on 16th -17th November in the church. There will be displays of artwork and original prints by gifted artist Paul Hewson which would make ideal Christmas cards and post cards.

Rev Karen Wilson our new Priest in Charge will be licensed on Tuesday 12th November at 6.00pm in St Mary’s church, Brading (followed by refreshments in the Hall). Please pray for her and her husband Chris. You can read more about her here. Please note that the church will be closed for the day (12th November) for setting up and preparation but everyone is welcome to the service and the supper.

Julia Barton is coming from the Portsmouth Diocese Safeguarding team to do face to face Safeguarding Training in St Mary’s Church hall on Tuesday 19th November. Sessions will run 9.30am – 3.30pm and cover Basic Awareness, Foundations and Domestic Abuse. If you help with anything at all in the church please check with Sylvia or Rev Bevaly for which course(s) you need to attend and the timings.

St Mary’s Brading are hosting a fun quiz night on Friday 22nd November starting at 7.00pm in the church Hall. £5 per person includes refreshments. Come as a team or team up when you get there. There will also be a raffle and profits will go to church funds.

St John’s Artisan Christmas Craft Fayre is from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Sunday 1st December. There will also be soup, tea, coffee and cakes available throughout the day, all to raise money towards the new Disabled Toilet.

Original Christmas cards by Liz Fletcher are available in St Peter's church. Very reasonably priced - sold in packs or individually.

If you are interested in joining an Advent Study course please let Rev Bev know as she is looking into books or studies so numbers would be helpful. (Also preferred times / days.)

Brading Church fundraising group are looking for items to create two luxury hampers for Christmas raffles. Please see Nigel, Rev Bev or Catherine if you have any suitable donations.

St Mary’s, Brading are holding their Christmas Tree Festival on 6th- 8th December in the church. The Festival will include a Christmas Concert, with mulled wine and mince pies on Friday 6th at 7.00pm in the church; a Craft Sale in the church and Coffee Morning in the hall with music from Mike on Saturday 7th from 10.00am; and the Light Up a Life Service to remember loved ones in aid of the Hospice at 3.00pm on Sunday 8th followed by the Community Nativity from the church hall around Brading to the Methodist Church. Please come and join the fun and celebrations and do get in touch if your organisation would like to display a tree at the Festival.
