What's OnRide and Stride on 10th SeptemberHave a family day out and discover the beautiful churches on the Isle of Wight by taking part in a sponsored cycle or walk. Help to preserve our churches for future generations. St Helen’s Church will be open for refreshments in the morning and we look forward to giving you a warm welcome. Tour of Britain***As a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, the organisers of the Tour of Britain have announced that the remaining stages will not now take place.*** 11th September sees the Tour of Britain’s final stage come to the Isle of Wight for the first time ever. We will still have our 9.30am service at St Helen’s Church as usual, but ALL cars must be parked in the car park, NOT on the road. The service should be over in time for you to make a hasty trip home before the riders pass the church. Alternatively, why not stay for refreshments and then watch the cyclists as they go by. It should be quite a spectacle! |

Vacancy for a Minute SecretaryWould you be willing to take the minutes at meetings of St Helens PCC? It's not an onerous job, but it is a very worthwhile one. Please contact
Andrew Bradstock on 07503 200630 if you are interested. Do you have a spare seat in your car when you come to Church ?Sometimes as many as 4 taxis come to our churches each week. Not only is this expensive but also ecologically poor practice. The journeys are all local and if you think you could help please contact Sylvia on 01983 612600. |
