Christian Aid Appeal - Turkey and Syria

Christian Aid has contacted churches asking them to implement three requests in response to the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria:

Pray: Join in prayer for those whose lives have been devastated and for those providing emergency relief.

Act: People are facing crisis on crisis and you can find more information about the emergency on the Christian Aid website.

Give: Christian Aid is already working with its partners to provide winter kits to people seeking shelter. Please hold a church collection, together we can help people in need rebuild their lives.

From the Christian Aid Website

On Monday 6 February, an initial magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit in southern Turkey close to the border with northern Syria. A second 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck 9 hours later, with aftershocks following.

Many thousands of men, women and children have died or are injured in the aftermath of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

It is not too late to save lives. Christian Aid is already working with partners in Northwest Syria to provide winter kits to people seeking shelter. These kits include plastic sheeting, mattresses, blankets, and heating materials. Please hold church collections, together we can help people in need rebuild their lives.

Every prayer, every gift, every action brings hope to people hit by disaster.
