St Helen’s Eco-Church

ln a change to our usual routine, St Helen's Eco Church group will meet at Level Land Farm, at 3.30pm, on Sunday 23rd July. The address is Carter's Stables, Upton Cross, Ryde, PO33 4BP. Please also note that there will be no Eco Church in August.

St Mary’s Mad Hatters’ Tea Party

If raining the party will be held in St Mary’s Church Hall. Parking is available in the old Youth Club for church members.

Mother’s’ Union trip to the Wildheart Sanctuary

A trip to the Wildheart Sanctuary will take place on Tuesday 25th July. We will meet at 10.30am at Sandown Zoo in Yaverland where the entrance charge is £11. You are welcome to join us.

St Mary’s Church: Saturday 29th July from 10:00am

There will be a cleaning session in St Mary's. Help is required to give the church a "spruce up" - please bring some cleaning kit with you!

Seaview Church and Community Fete - 2:00pm to 5:00pm Saturday 12th August

Come and enjoy a family day out with local craft stalls, Tombola, Cream Teas, and Produce, Dog Show, Donkey Parade, Wight Elephant, Target Football, Wet Sponge Throw, Bouncy Castle, Pimms Tent, Ice Creams, Fancy Dress, and much more.
This a real family event for you to enjoy BUT we need your help. Donations for the Wight Elephant Stall can be left in the church porch; smaller items for the MU tombola stall can be left in the marked box in the porch, and home made cakes and produce can be taken to the pavilion on the day. St Mary’s Hymns and Pimms on Friday 18th August

St Mary’s Bell Ringers

The Brading bellringers would like to thank all who supported their Barbeque last Saturday at which we made £175.80 for the Bell Restoration fund.

Teddy Bear Parachute Jump on Saturday 19th August

Come and enjoy the Teddy Bear zip wire and parachute jumps from St Mary’s Church Tower with proceeds in aid of the Bell Restoration Appeal. available and there will be a Tombola.

St Peter’s Coffee Morning on Saturday 16th September

St Peter’s Church holds a coffee morning in the hall from 10:00am to 12:00noon on the third Saturday of each month, with stalls, a tombola and a raffle. Everyone is made very welcome.
Please note: there is not a Coflee Morning in August.

St Peter’s Newly Fitted Out Meeting Rooms

Need somewhere to hold meetings or children’s parties? Why not use St Peter’s Undercroft which provides an attractive space for meetings. It features a modern kitchen and sunny courtyard and benefits from level access from the street.

Alternatively there is an upper meeting room that has a newly refitted kitchen with an oven and double hob. It also has a separate toilet.

St Peter’s Family Services

Although August may seem a long way off, it will soon be here and St Peter’s are hoping to hold two family services on 13th and 27th. In order to do so safely we need a minimum of three volunteers for each service. If you would be willing to help with this please contact Sylvia on 01983 612600 and we will arrange a planning meeting.

St Peter’s Memorial Garden

We have planted three new roses in the church memorial garden: the varieties are Alexander, Mamma Mia, and Keep Smiling. And we have space for three more: if you would like one of these roses (or a new rose) dedicated to a loved one at a cost of £30, please let Sylvia know on 01983 612600.

St Peter’s Donations

You will be pleased to know that St Peter's has entered the 21st century and are now able to take card payments. The machine is at the back of the church and we also have a QR code.

Supporting our local Food Banks

St Mary’s Church continues as a collection point for tinned foods, toiletries and other essentials for those in need of aid in these difficult times. Please place your donations at the back of the church.

St Peter's Church: Food bank baskets for non-perishable food are also situated at the back of the church, The Orange Tree in Madeira Road and Penforma on the corner of Bluett Avenue and Salterns all in Seaview.
