Supporting our local Food BanksWith food prices remaining higher that last year and energy costs likely to increase this winter, perhaps we should start to replenish the Food Banks as autumn approaches and help those who need to find a balance between heat or eat. Just two or three items each week could amount to a blessing for a family. St Mary’s Church continues as a collection point for tinned foods, toiletries and other essentials for those in need of aid in these difficult times. Please place your donations at the back of the church. St Peter's Church: Food bank baskets for non-perishable food are also situated at the back of the church, The Orange Tree in Madeira Road and Penforma on the corner of Bluett Avenue and Salterns all in Seaview. |
