Rev Bevaly hosts a Zoom Together in Prayer Group every Wednesday for half an hour from 7.30pm to pray for the world, the church and each other.

Supporting our local Food Banks

St Mary’s Church collects tinned foods, toiletries and other essentials in the box at the back of the church.
St Peter's Church: Baskets for non-perishable food are at the back of the church, also in The Orange Tree in Madeira Road and Penforma on the corner of Bluett Avenue and Salterns, in Seaview.
St Helen’s runs a Community Fridge in the Community Centre. Please contact Helen Bradstock (07503 200620) for more info or if you can help.

St Peter’s Church Coffee Morning 18th November 10.00am – 12noon. Entry by donation includes tea/coffee and biscuits. Plus raffle, cakes, tombola and books.

Mince Pies: Prison Chaplain Judith Swaine has asked for donations of mince pies for the Christmas carol services at Albany Prison (12th December) and Parkhurst Prison (19th December). Pies must be in sealed commercial packets with long enough ‘best before’ dates and can be left at the back of the churches.

The Farewell service for Revd Barry Downer will be held at St John the Baptist, Yaverland on Sunday 26th November starting at 11.00am Everyone is welcome to this Benefice Sung Eucharist and Parking is available next door at Yaverland Farm. Light refreshmentswill be served after the service.

St Mary's Christmas Tree Festival takes place Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd December and includes a free Advent Concert on the Friday starting with a peal of bells at 6.50pm, to include Brading Choir, Wight Ukers, Scottish Fiddlers and Organ Fugue with mulled wine and mince pies available in the interval, a Craft Fair on Saturday 2nd December and a ‘Lights of Love’ Service for the Mountbatten on the Sunday starting at 3.00pm.

St Peter’s is also holding a 'Light’s of Love' Service on Friday 1st December at 6.00pm when there will also be late night shopping in the village.

St Helen’s has its Village of Angels Display during December in aid of the local school. Entry forms can be collected from the School, the Post Office or the Vine Inn by 24th November.

Pat Whiteland’s funeral will be on Friday 17th November at 12.00noon in St Helen’s Church followed by cremation.

The Memorial service for June Mitchell is being held at St Mary's Brading on Monday 20th November at 12.00noon with refreshments in the hall afterwards. All are welcome. As a life-long bell ringer, some of June's friends will be ringing in memory of her at St Mary's from 11.15am, prior to the memorial service.
