Both St Mary’s and St Peter’s collect tinned foods, toiletries and other essentials for the Food bank. St Helen’s has a Community Fridge food waste Project: visit the Community Centre and take what you can use to prevent food from going in the bin, plus follow them on the St Helens Community Fridge Facebook page.

Just a gentle reminder that food left at the back of the church is for the food bank or specific charities. If you are in need please see Sylvia or Rev Bevaly.

There will be a short service in St Catherine's Chapelat 6.00pm on New Year's Eve to reflect on the old year and look forward to the new. All are very welcome

WHEN THE SONG
OF THE ANGELS IS STILLED

When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and the princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flocks,
The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among brothers,
To make music in the heart.
Poem by Howard Thurman (1899-1981)

We wish you all a joyful and blessed 2024
