Mothers' Union Prayers
Thank you, Lord, for the exuberance of young people, who think they know so much, even though they have so little experience of real life. Help us to guide and encourage them, allowing them the freedom to explore and learn life’s lessons, but providing enough care to keep them safe.

St Peter's Church Porch
The summer fete is fast approaching and I am grateful to those people sorting out and donating items to this event. However, due to the current refurbishment of the undercroft we have no storage space at the church itself. We do have arrangements for storing donated items, but please could I ask that you contact me before leaving items in the church porch. Collection can be arranged. Many thanks, Sylvia.

SEAVIEW FUNTASTIC FETE AUGUST 18th
This is the last call for the fete, which will be opened at 2.00pm by Robin Courage, the High Sheriff. We are still in need of help with stalls, and donations for the white elephant & book stalls. Make sure you don't miss out on this fun afternoon. Contact Sylvia if you can help in any way.
The Mothers' Union will be responsible for the tombola at the fete. We would be very grateful to receive donations of suitable items for this. These should be put in the box in St Peter's Church porch. Many thanks in anticipation of your generous giving.
Raffle tickets are now available and we would like to sell as many as possible before the day. Sylvia will be giving books out for you to sell to neighbours and family who may not be going to the fete but would be happy to contribute in this way.
Urgently Needed - donations of sweets - in packets, or wrapped lollipops for the St Helen's tombola. Please contact Diana Hetherington.

Bereavement Support Group
Will meet on Friday 12th August in St Peter's Church Hall. If you have been affected by bereavement or loss please come and join us in a relaxing and supportive time.

Carrier Bags
A supply of these will be needed at the fete, so of you have any CLEAN carrier bags either plastic or paper, please hand to Sylvia before the day.

Ride & Stride
This annual event which helps to raise funds for historical churches will be held on Saturday 10th September. This is a healthy way of fundraising by taking part in a sponsored ride, stride, or drive between churches. If you would be interested in taking part on the Isle of Wight, or helping to provide refreshments to the participants, please contact Sylvia.
