Lord, as you welcome all who come to you, give us welcoming hearts to those who come to us in need. May we see the image of God in their faces and lovingly care for them as though we are serving Christ.

Archdeacon Peter Sutton
We will be making a collection for the Archdeacon on Sunday 8th July. Please put your contribution in the box at the back of the churches, or give directly to Sue Whitewick, for Seaview and St Helen’s, or Jonathan for Brading. There will be an evensong service of thanksgiving and farewell for Revd Peter and Pippa Sutton as they prepare to leave the island. This will be on Monday 16th July, 19.00 hrs in All Saints Church, Ryde. Everyone is very welcome to attend.

Seaview Summer Fete
This year's summer fete will be held on Seaview football clubs ground on Thursday 16th August at 2.00pm. In order for this to be successful we need items to sell, [no electricals]; books, raffle & tombola prizes; bottles & toys. Please start collecting these now and let Sylvia know so they can be appropriately stored. Also needed are people to man the stalls and the event, also the bouncy castle. Please contact Sylvia if you are able to help in any way.

Bereavement Group
The monthly bereavement Group will meet on Friday 6th July. The group will meet in the undercroft at St Peter’s Hall from 2.00-4.00pm. The entrance to this new hall is in Steyne Road.

St Mary’s Flower Festival Concert
On Sunday 22nd July at 3.00pm the Sandown & Shanklin Military Band will be giving a concert. There will be a retiring collection and refreshments will be served in the hall after the concert.

Sea Sunday
Sunday 8th July 12.00 noon at the Old Church, St Helens Duver. Bring a picnic, seats provided. Come and join us as we pray for our seafarers. If wet it will be held in the community centre. Everyone is welcome.

Cashier
We are looking for an additional cashier to help out on the rota at St Peter’s. This is not an arduous task but we do need to ensure we are working to the Charity Commission’s guidelines. If you think this is something you could do please see Sylvia.

Magazine Distributor
If anyone could take on a small magazine round in Fairy Road, Seaview area, please let Sylvia know.

Mothers’ Union
The annual island festival of the Mothers’ Union will be taking place on Wednesday 11th July in St Peter’s Church. The service will be led by Revd Jill Carman, with Revd Alison Morley presiding and the Venerable Peter Sutton preaching. We are delighted that Venerable Trevor Reader will be with us and admitting new members. This service starts at 11.00am and will be followed by a light summer lunch in the newly furbished Undercroft. The proceeds of this service and lunch will be going to the Mothers’ Union Summer of Home Appeal.

St Peter’s Coffee Morning
The recent coffee morning raised £169.84 for church funds. Thanks as always to all who helped in any way. The next one will be on July 28th

St Mary’s Brading
There will be bellringers' BBQ at 6.30pm in Brading Church Hall on Saturday 14th July. Adults £5.00, children under 16, £3.00. Everyone welcome.
