Celebrating the Coronation

St Mary’s Church: Brading Town Council has organised a Coronation Party on Sunday 7th May at Brading Football field. St Mary’s Church has reserved a pitch for a fund raising Tombola stall for the Church. (Start time to be confirmed.) Nigel Elton-Waters is asking for assistance to run the stall, on the day, the loan of a gazebo and any bottles for the tombola.

St Peter’s Church: There will be a Service of the Word at 10am on Sunday 7th May to give thanks for the Coronation of King Charles. The service will be led by our Local Minister, Sylvia.

Can you help? We need bottles, lots of bottles!

St Helen’s Church will be having a stall at the May Fayre in Seaview on May 1st with a Bottle Tombola fundraising to convert the shed in the grounds of the Vicarage into a hub for children to use when doing activities in the churchyard. If you could give some bottles to help us, then we would be very grateful. The bottles can be filled with anything that is in date and unused.
Anything that comes in a bottle will do, from Champagne, whisky, ketchup, water, wine, body lotion, perfume, to vinegar …. the list is endless. Bottles can be left at the back of St Helen’s Church, given to Rose Gillett or collected if you ring 01983 612440 and leave a message.
Thanking you in anticipation of your support

St Mary’s Social Group

This is a new and inclusive group that had its first meeting on Friday 15th April. Anyone can join and/or come forward with ideas for social gatherings and fund raising. It is hoped that we might be able to meet once a month and add to the programme we have already identified from now until 8th December.

St Mary's Open Café

There will be an Open Café on Saturday 13th May and we are hoping that the Ability Dogs will join us again.

St Mary’s Jumble Sale

A jumble sale is planned for Saturday 3rd June - watch this space!

Supporting our local Food Banks

St Mary’s Church continues as a collection point for tinned foods, toiletries and other essentials for those in need of aid in these difficult times. Please place your donations at the back of the church.

St Peter's Church: Food bank baskets for non-perishable food are also situated at the back of the church, The Orange Tree in Madeira Road and Penforma on the corner of Bluett Avenue and Salterns all in Seaview.

Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM)

The APCM for St Helen's will be held after the morning service on Sunday 23rd April at 10:45am.
