On Tuesday 6th June, six walkers from across our Island set out from Sandown Pier for St Peter’s Church.

On the way they stopped at the Yarborough Monument on CulverDown and after arriving at St Peter’s they took a well earned rest in the garden whilst enjoying a welcome cup of tea, Photograph of Pilgrimage - 3 not to mention an essential comfort break.

Undaunted, some of Tuesday’s walkers were amongst a group that set out the following morning for another 12 mile pilgrimage from St Peter’s to East Cowes via Quarr Abbey after assembling in the garden (shown left).

More pilgrimages will follow in the year.

On Wednesday 7th June we were pleased to welcome the Venerable Steven Daughtery, the Island’s Archdeacon, to discuss our Vision, Mission and Strategy document and outline potential ways forward. His response was very complimentary of our work so far and we will continue to refine our plans, under his guidance, in the coming weeks.
