I hope many of you will have seen the article in the last two editions of the Parish Magazine. The Parish Giving Scheme has been launched in both churches. There are spare packs for anyone who might like to donate in the future. Please consider what you give carefully, we need every penny we can get to keep St Helen's Church open and running. Sue

A Message from Sylvia
I would like to thank everyone for all the messages and good wishes I received during my recent illness. I have been sustained & uplifted by all your prayers. Thank you all. Sylvia.

All Souls Service
The All Souls Service, when our loved ones who have died are remembered, will take place on Sunday 1st November at 6.00pm at St Helen's Church. Clip boards will be at the back of each Church from Sunday 18th October for names of people to be added whom you would like to be remembered by name.

Open Worship Meeting
If you would like to discuss how the services are run, or if you would like to see change, something different or you have questions to ask please come along to this meeting on Saturday 21st November from 9.30am - 11.00am.

St Peter's Harvest Lunch
This event raised £323.00 for our link parish in Bolgatanga. Thanks especially to Beth & Molly and to all who helped and supported them.

Trafalgar Day Lunch
This event will take place on Wednesday 21st October at the Northbank Hotel. Will Caws is the quest of honour. His direct ancestors fought at the battle of Trafalgar so it is particularly appropriate and an honour that he will be present at this lunch. Will will be delighted to talk informally to guests about the Battle of Trafalgar, life in Nelson's navy and to answer questions.

St Helens Sewing Group
Please does anyone have any red, green, white or gold wool, 4ply or preferably thicker, or ribbons and bindings etc in the same colours, that I could have to make items for the Christmas sales days? Even small quantities will help. We are not meeting as a group at present as people seem happy to make things at home, but do please contact me if you are able to make anything for us to sell for St Helen's Church, or if you would like to meet up and stitch together. Thank you. Mary Jackson
