Memorial Gardens
From the Lichgate to the entrance to St Helen’s Church, there are two small flower beds, one on either side of the path, which the PCC would like to make into memorial gardens, by planting rose bushes in memory of loved ones. If you would like to contribute please speak to Sue [churchyard manager] or phone her on 01983 568761 for more details. There are not many spaces left.
It is hoped the project will start in the Autumn.

Seaview & St Helen’s Electoral Roll
It is time for the Electoral Rolls to be completely renewed. Forms for this are at the back of both churches and a box for the completed ones.

All Souls
The All Souls services, when we remember all of our loved ones who have died, will be at St Mary’s Church, Brading at 3.00pm & St Peter’s Church, Seaview at 6.00pm on Sunday 3rd November. There are clip boards at the back of all the churches for the names you wish to be read out at that service. Everyone welcome to attend.

Benefice Dates

3rd Nov 11.45am St Peter’s Undercroft
Many will remember David Sheppard, the Bishop of Liverpool who formed a ground breaking partnership with his Roman Catholic counterpart, Archbishop Derek Worlock, a generation ago. For the last 4 years Andrew Bradstock has been researching Sheppard’s biography, and this will be published by SPCK in November under the title Batting for the poor: the authorised biography of the celebrated cricketer and bishop.
Andrew & his wife Helen live in St Helen’s and worship in the benefice, and they would like to invite all who are interested to join them in celebrating the book’s publication with tea and cake in the undercroft at St Peter’s, Seaview, on Sunday morning, 3rd November. Although this will follow the morning 10.00am service, it will be a separate event, starting at 11.45am.
